Izuku KNEW what Toga was referring to when she said she wanted to be like the person she LOVED. She was referring to ROMANTIC LOVE.

Izuku knew this because Toga clarified she wanted him to be her boyfriend and Izuku went red thinking about ROMANTIC date ideas. Basically telling the audience he did understood Toga was talking about romance.

But the moment she starts talking about love=wanting to be just like that person and copying them, he totally changed the conversation by bringing up All Might, which wasn’t AT ALL what Toga was talking about.

He knew this was about romance, but he still brought up All Might. The worse thing is that the “Can’t imagine to share the same mind and heart with All Might” line that Izuku himself said, is really romantic actually, so it seems like he was thinking of someone else but instead of saying their name he just slammed All Might over it and said he couldn’t imagine feeling any of that.

I’m looking Izuku, and I’m judging you.
